It's nature... heightened by color! Have you gotten to see the northern lights? Mom and I jumped (out of bed) at 11pm on a drive in hopes of catching them. Our roadside photos, the moment and the inspiration were worth it! Nature with a bright touch of hyper color is my kind of outdoor setting. Celebrate the deep blues, vibrant, pinks, and warm tones that make for a late summer’s dream!

‘Tis the season to spread love and cheer! Looking out those frosted window panes and seeing cheery signs of life inspired this collection. My in-laws’ home sits on a hill where the pine trees compete for height against a snowy backdrop. The tall windows all around the perimeter allow for full views of our Minnesota winters. Rich foliage boasting of deep emeralds set beside deep reds instantly give the Christmassy feel I’ve come to love!

Know of a cozy place with hidden treasures and pretty, vintage details? Flower Patches is a collection of wild color pops with the familiar shapes of daisies, pansies, roses and tulips. I am forever interested in abstracting the beautiful and making space for the playful. Flower Patches shines positivity and welcomes the young at heart to smile.

Vibrant color, fluid movement, and notes of nature come out to play in my debut collection with Moda Fabrics! Playgrounds includes vignettes of creative, playful areas where what’s seen in nature touches a bit of heavenly fun. The stark contrast of dark and light brings the symbolic tension that we live in day to day. But bold color stands strong regardless of its backdrop.
